YPRES

The 4th of July is just a day like any other when José Delaere leaves for his work in Ypres. That changes during the day when he recieves a phone call from one of his neighbours. It seems something is up and the neighbours urges him strongly to come over. Appearantly a plane crashed in his street.

At first, he is not worried. The radio reports of a crash in the nearby Zwevegem. Thereby, his wife and sons left the house to go shopping for new clothes in the nearby city of Courtrai. It is only upon arriving that he finds out that this aircraft did not crash in Zwevegem but on his own house. When his wife arrives, he learns that one of his sons had decided not to go shopping, we wanted to rest as he had just completed his final exam.
